Who we are
Herbert & Ellis is the trading name of Herbert And Ellis Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 14347864), registered office Unit 4 Longdon Road Industrial Estate, Mercian Close, Shrewsbury, SY3 9EA. What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our enquiry form we receive your name, company (if given), email address, phone number, website and your message, plus the page you sent it from. If you arrived from one of our ads, that includes the ad’s click reference and campaign tags.
- Emails. If you email us, we receive what you send.
- Advertising cookies. Only if you accept them: see Cookies below.
How we use it, and why we’re allowed to
- To reply to your enquiry, discuss your needs and send you a proposal. This is in our legitimate interests and yours, and is a step you’ve asked for before any contract.
- To deliver work if you become a client, under our contract with you.
- To measure which of our ads bring enquiries, and to show our ads to people who’ve visited, only with your consent.
We don’t sell your details, and we won’t add you to marketing emails without asking.
Who handles it for us
- FormSubmit passes enquiry form messages to our inbox.
- Google hosts our email and, if you accept cookies, provides Google Ads measurement.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
If you don’t become a client, we keep your enquiry for up to two years and then delete it. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and then for as long as the law requires (usually six years for financial records).
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@herbertandellis.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We only set advertising cookies if you click Accept on our cookie banner. They come from Google Ads and let us see which ads lead to enquiries and show our ads to people who’ve visited. If you click Reject, or don’t choose, no advertising cookies are set, and Google receives only basic, cookieless signals that can’t be used to identify you.
We remember your choice in your browser’s storage so we don’t ask on every page. You can change it at any time: .
